Common questions
Do I have to configure AI before I can write?
No. Start a new script, write and save. The local dictionaries work without a Gemini key where local spelling is available.
Why did Tab change my line instead of adding one?
The line was empty. Tab cycles its element type in that situation. On a populated line, it inserts the next element. See the writing chapter for the exact table.
Why are Synopsis, Analysis and Beat Sheet unavailable?
These tools unlock at 1,000 words or the equivalent character count for your writing profile. Keep developing the script; you can use Logline, Cast, Locations and Outline meanwhile. Once available, moving the synopsis slider does not rewrite existing prose until you run Write / Rewrite.
What does “AI fallback” mean?
The app does not include a suitable local dictionary for that profile. Your operating system may still provide one. If neither local route is available, optional AI spelling is the fallback.
Why do some image tools need Paid mode?
AI image generation uses a paid-capable route. Choosing or pasting your own reference image is a different operation. Check the image control’s label and the selected tier.

About the examples
The guide follows The Last Light, a fictional screenplay you can use for practice. Story and tagging examples show what to look for; your AI results will vary. Mac and Windows share the writing interface, with different native menus and window controls.
